Lifting Others

This board works to inspire your students to spread positivity in the classroom. You can personalize this board by tracing your students' hands and arms and have them cut hearts out in the color of their preference.

Step 1

Cover bulletin board with Graffiti Wall Fadeless® Paper. To do this, first cut enough paper to cover the board. Find the center of the paper you’ve cut. Roll in edges in and secure at the bottom of the rolls with binder clips. Start securing the paper to the board by stapling at the top center. Roll the paper out to the left or right, stapling as you go. Roll out the remainder of the paper to the other side stapling across the top. Then staple down the sides and bottom, smoothing the paper as you go along. Cut off excess paper around edges. (For our “How to” video go to: youtu.be/0BW84xgH3fo).

Step 2

Trace the arms of the children in your class. Cut out and adhere to the board with double-sided tape. Place at varying heights and trim off excess the paper at the bottom.

Step 3

Attach the letters to the board using double-sided tape.

Step 4

Cut 6 to 7 inch squares of construction paper in a variety of colors and have each student select a color and cut one heart out of the paper. Adhere each heart to the board randomly.

Step 5

To complete the board, tape or glue the Royal Blue Bordette® around the edges. Layer the Magenta Bordette® on top of the Royal Blue Bordette®.
